Pepy Nasution is the food blogger and photographer behind indonesiaeats.com. Growing up in 3 different Indonesian cities enriched Pepy’s knowledge of Indonesian foods. And arriving in Winnipeg as an immigrant to Canada, Pepy soon realized that not many authentic Indonesian recipes were shared in English, so she started posting recipes on her blog, “The Art and Science of Food”
In 2010, Pepy rebranded her blog to Indonesia Eats, and launched an e-cookbook while working full time in quality control for a food manufacturer in Winnipeg.
She created her blog as an online archive to satisfy her nostalgia for Indonesian Foods and as a playground to nurture and grow her skills in cooking, photography and writing. And she began to explore and dig deeper into regional Indonesian foods, and how they are tied to Indonesia’s history of trade and colonialism.
Now in Edmonton, Pepy is pursuing her dream as a full-time food blogger.
