Are you interested in wine, but have never had the time, or confidence, to learn more about it? Would you like to know what wine professionals mean when they talk about “fruity” vs “dry” or what on earth minerality means? Are you intimidated to ask basic questions when you’re with your wine savvy friends?
If you’ve answered yes to at least 1 of the above questions, then this is the class for you.
In the second of this fall’s newest series, our Sommelier Tara invites you to join her to learn more about wine and your own palate. Together, we will explore how your palate works, what the noble grapes are, and some basic food and wine pairing. Questions are encouraged!
This class series is aimed at people who consider themselves new to the world of wine but have an interest in learning more. Each class in the series will explore your palate, as it specializes in some of the main grape varieties. And together we will explore what the flavours are and what they actually mean to you, as we learn the language of wine and how to translate that language to your individual palate.
Tonight we will be focusing on Cabernet Sauvignons and Sauvignon Blanc.
This is an 18+ class. We encourage responsible sampling and safe transportation home.
Class Fee: $45 per person, plus GST. Your Fee Includes: Tastings of 6 or more wines, together with literature and history about the grapes and the wines served, and food samples to pair with the wines.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel your booking you must do so no less than 14 days prior to the date of your class in order to receive a refund. Cancellations within 2 weeks of a class will not be refunded or rescheduled.
