Oktoberfest. Food & Beer

Get Cooking

Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival and travelling funfair. Held annually in Munich, it’s a 2-week beer fest, with more than six million people from around the world attending event every year.  Here in Edmonton Oktoberfest is a celebration of local community and, of course, beer.  And together with our good friend and brewer Gunther Trageser, Kathryn and Elyse will be creating a menu of traditionally inspired dishes and paring them with delicious Edmonton brewed beers, with the pairings chosen and introduced by Gunther. We’ll start the class making Gunther’s homemade Pretzels, that we’ll serve with a Cheese & Beer Fondue.  Then Gunther and Elyse will get you making Bratwurst, and we’ll be enjoying them with Potatoes Fried with Apples & Sauerkraut.  Then finally Pork Schnitzel, pan fried and served with salad greens.

This class is not suitable for vegetarian or gluten-free diets.

Class Fee: $115 per person, plus GST.  Your Fee Includes: a 3-hour class, a full meal with matched beers, and a recipe pack to take home.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel your booking you must do so no less than 14 days prior to the date of your class in order to receive a refund. Cancellations within 2 weeks of a class will not be refunded or rescheduled.
