Join Mai Nguyen, for her newest class on Japanese Pork Katsu Curry. Mai will walk you through making your curry using Japanese Curry Cubes and serving it with Panko Crumb breaded Pork Tenderloin together with Rice and a Shaved Cabbage Salad. You can choose to cook along with Mai as you make your supper, or simply watch and learn.
Ingredients for Curry Sauce*: medium onion, medium carrot, large starchy potato (such as a russet), knob ginger, Glico curry or S&B brand, vegetable stock/chicken stock, soy sauce, ketchup, sugar
Ingredients for Pork or Chicken Katsu*: panko breadcrumbs, all-purpose flour, salt and pepper, chicken thighs or boneless pork loin chops, egg, vegetable oil for deep frying
Ingredients for Cabbage Salad*: thinly sliced green cabbage, salt, sugar, sesame oil
* We’ll be discussing potential substitutions for ingredients during your class, including using ground chicken instead of ground pork.
Class Fee: $27.50 plus GST (pricing is per device and allows multiple participants to attend using a single device). Your Fee Includes: A 90 – 120 minute virtual class, including a virtual recipe pack with info on equipment needed. Your recipes will be delivered in advance, so you can shop for ingredients and cook along with us during your class if you wish.
Software Requirement: We are using Zoom for our virtual classes. If you aren’t already using Zoom you can download their free app for Windows, Mac, Android or Apple iOS here. Upon purchase, your meeting ID and password will be included in your Event Confirmation email – please be sure to save this information as you will need it to join your class.

Once downloaded Zoom will help you set up your free account then you’re ready to join us. Zoom will prompt you and ask for permission to use your devices camera and audio, please accept the requests. Once logged in click “Join” from the home page and enter your Meeting ID, which will be sent to you by email with your recipes.
